There is no “correct” leadership style, because every organisation is different and needs to be led differently. But anyone who wants to excel as a leader needs to know where they are strong and weak both in the inner-core as well as the outer-core. Being a leader right now and a leader into the future may well change but what I am 100% sure on is this. how can you possibly look to lead others if you do not know who you are?
Truly great leadership is in my view less a function of what your predominant trait is and much more a function of the overall maturity of your traits, all of which combine to determine your leadership presence and effectiveness.
In today’s 2500+ blog I share specific insights on a very deep level tool that I use when partnering senior executives, leaders, managers and high potential individuals. It is putting the “lead” back into leadership.
