What an amazing week I have experienced. More about this in a minute.
As a coach to executives and individuals I am exposed to so many requirements, so many different styles and so many different views (god I truly love what I do and couldn’t think of ever doing anything else!!)
At the very start of any engagement I am very clear that “I am not a mentor, I don’t tell you what to do and you go do it”. There are many people who will do that for you!.
I am all about getting results with you. We will explore and implement specific things to help you get results. Executive coaching and coaching in my business is about working with you in an environment that allows you to really think inwardly first, so you benefit, your stakeholders benefit and the people you influence benefit. Then we look outwardly – its like laying foundations – without good inner foundations nothing you do will last!
ps: a note to all……..coaching is not for everyone!
This week beginning 30th July 2018, I have welcomed 9 new coachees to the family (welcome) and 2 organisations that want just that to get results. I have received and responded to many emails, I’m thinking I need to work a bit smarter on this! I have been a “model….yep you heard it right…… a model” for one of my clients business. I have turned away 3 coachees because I am not the right coach for them.
The rest of the week I have been in my own “personal development mode” as I recently engaged on my own development with an individual in the USA. He is also an Executive Coach and ranked top 3 globally (so I am in safe hands) This commitment by myself sees me getting up at midnight and working thru with him till 4:30am (why) to better serve my clients, to gain a different perspective and to grow!
Well, its Sunday night the kids are in bed and I am now ready to turn off all technology and rest up for the start of a new challenging week.
