Meet Richard Young
Global Guru and Owner of Simplify2Perfom.
Richard has been involved with nine (9) Olympics across a variety of roles, from athlete, coach, scientist and leader. He has spent years researching human physiology, performance technology and performance behaviours.
Having won international gold medals, coached world champions, researched performance and created programmes that contributed to Olympic medals for three countries we are in safe hands.
As you will hear in our conversation today the work Richard is doing comes with a great deal of ‘evidence’.
Richard is involved in activity, and, making thinking visible to National Sport Coaches, he is a mentor and coach. Richard runs workshops on many different topics, master-class on exceptional systems for performance and is an advisor on Olympic plans, performance reviews , learning with the women’s leadership groups as they track into high performance sports.
From his home in Dunedin, New Zealand where he lives with his growing family we cover so many things. We could have gone on for hours such was the conversations. Wrapped up in all of our conversation is his drive in ‘performance’ and as you listen in to our conversation the magic is about keeping things simple!
