There is no time like now to make that change. Too often we put things off, oh I will start tomorrow when I have done……..or not today I am not feeling like it………
Having trained many times for Ironman my personal take away and learnings is this. If you want to make a change and you want to do it, you will make it happen, period. If it is something that you care so passionately so deeply about you will move heaven and earth to ensure it is done/achieved.
I remember once reading a book about training for Mt Everest and in it the author wrote about the hardest part was simply waking up, putting on her shoes and heading out the tent. It got me thinking about leadership change and the work I do with successful CEOs, Executives and Emerging Leaders around the globe. They have a choice, to turn up and make a difference or put of that making a difference to another day. As leaders we can start right now, here, today. It doesn’t need to be anything major it could be as simple as taking a different approach to a situation!
Starting now is not just left to the elite leaders it is relevant to anyone at any level.
Go put your running shoes on and take a step forwards. Well done you have started.
